  Awful place. Went for a few drinks with my mates on friday evening. There were 2 girls serving at the bar who kept serving other customers who were after me in the queue. When I questioned it they had nothing to say. Maybe they have issues with serving people of colour. Left soon after that. Never again.

  Excellent pub up the road from The Firs 'van site. Friendly and helpful staff. A lovely dog. Excellent drip of Ghost Ship with a modern smoking / outside area.

  This is a lovely old pub with a great atmosphere,so I don't understand the previous comments from the man complaining because it took a while to get served and inferring it's because of his colour,I think he may be insecure in himself. I can say from personal experience that the Blacksmiths is a diverse pub that embraces variety of all kind including colour and race. All are welcome. It is because it's a popular pub that on occasion it may take a while to get served,so please don't put it down to anything else.
